This Is the Best-Selling Lipstick on Sephora.com

Why swatch on dozens of formulas to find the perfect shade when the Sephora shopping mavens have done the work for you? With just under 10,000 reviews and over 700,000 “likes,” the Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick ($20; sephora.com) won by a landslide in the category. If you tend to stray away from stains because of their drying ways, this one may have you reconsidering. While over 3,000 mentioned it as being “long-lasting” in their review (one reviewer boasted that it lasts up to six hours before wearing off), another 1,300 mentioned it being creamy—which is a fairly uncommon combo in a stain, especially for a matte finish.

The comfortable, creamy formula is likely thanks to the vitamin E and sunflower seed oil, which also help it glide on super smooth like a gloss. After a few minutes the formula will be completely dry—but not uncomfortable—and won’t transfer onto your clothes or smear across your face like a typical lipstick.

With 28 shades to choose from (including more dramatic options like pitch black and navy blue), we’re almost certain there’s a color to compliment your style or mood. Not sure which one to go for first? Try their cult favorite, Lolita (some say it’s Sephora’s best-selling lipstick of all time). The chestnut rose hue was so popular that they decided to make a brighter version aptly named Lolita II.

Still on the hunt for something just right? This red lipstick flatters every skin tone.
