Ed Sheeran really likes to be prepared.

During an appearance on Ireland’s The Late Late Show, Sheeran revealed that he had already written a theme song for the James Bond franchise — just in case he ever needed it.

“With Bond, I’ve actually had a theme tune written for about three years, just in case” the “Shape of You” singer said, before admitting that he hadn’t been asked to write one … yet.

But the 26-year-old refused to reveal the song’s title. “I’m not going to say ’cause someone might steal it, but it’s good,” he said, reassuring the audience.

Sheeran also revealed that this wasn’t the only time he’s written a song on the off-chance he’d need it someday. He had done the same thing with Eminem.

“I just recently did a song with one of my all time heroes, Eminem,” Sheeran said, adding that before the two decided to collaborate, Sheeran had already thought about what kind of song he would write for the rapper. “I was like, ‘If I ever work with Eminem, I’ve got this song.’ ”

“So It’s the same with Bond. If ever I’m called, I will be like, ‘Here you go,’ ” he added.

Sheeran and Eminem recorded a song together called “River” for the rapper’s new album Revival, which was released on Thursday.

Similarly, although Meghan Markle and Prince Harry haven’t asked Sheeran to sing at their upcoming wedding, the Grammy winner has already revealed that he’d love to do it.

After Sheeran received an MBE earlier this month, the singer told reporters that the royal couple have not been in touch about serenading them for their first dance as husband and wife. But should they ask, he would be down for the gig.

“Yeah, why not?!” he said.
